Manufacturer Buybacks

Manufacturer's Buybacks, in our opinion, are some of the best deals on the market these days. Most people have it in their heads that a "Lemon Law Buyback" is a true problem vehicle. And 10-20 years ago, that was most likely the case. These days, however, Manufacturer's take meticulous care to ensure that they continue to keep their customers "within the brand," so to speak. To that end, they will repurchase the vehicle from the customer who bought the vehicle new (and sometimes used) for any number of reasons. Some of those reasons could include part shortages or backorder, recalls, or even just to maintain customer satisfaction! We've even seen vehicles where the Monroney Label (Window Sticker) has had inaccurate information compared to the actual vehicle, and the Manufacturer bought the car back because of that! The vehicle then becomes known as a "Manufacturer's Buyback" and the title is Branded Lemon Law as such. Companies that offer vehicle history reports (such as Carfax or Autocheck) will also report as such.

If there is an actual problem with the vehicle, State Law mandates that the Manufacturer is responsible for making any necessary repairs prior to the resale of the vehicle. The vast majority of these vehicles are still well within Manufacturer's Warranty, and some Manufacturer's even take it a step further and offer a 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty (from the date the new owner purchases it) to cover the defect!

Now, let's discuss pricing. These cars, in our honest opinion, are incredible deals compared to everything else on the market. Let's take for example, Car A, which is not a buyback, and Car B, which is a buyback. For argument's sake, let's assume that they are the same Year, Make, Model, Color, Condition, and have the same Options and Mileage. Car A sells for $30,000, Car B sells for $25,000, a savings of $5,000 on a $30,000 car for almost the identical car!! In essence, it's helping you to stretch your dollar further and obtain a car that may be out of your budget for a little bit less. Now, that doesn't mean that if in Car A is worth $25,000 in one year, that Car B is worth $25,000 in one year. The savings is received on the front end of the transaction, but still depreciates at the same rate- meaning that if Car A in one year is worth $25,000, Car B in one year is worth $20,000.

And let's not forget, most of these vehicles still have PLENTY of factory warranty left. These are not salvage or rebuilt vehicles. They have not been wrecked and/or rebuilt, or totaled out, and therefore continue to have the same coverage from the Manufacturer.

In summary, we believe that these Manufacturer's Buybacks offer quality at an incredible value, something we always try to create and pass on to our customers. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask your sales associate.
